During the fall season D on the Women's side had a traumatic head injury during a game that required an over night stay in the hospital. Her insurance had run out the week prior to the injury and thus she was only on the USA Rugby insurance. D now has over $6,000 out of pocket expenses after the rugby insurance pays its portion.
Friend and teammate Lauren "Skeeter" Sirkin has set up a fundraiser at Spiak's pizza place to help D out. The hope is that we could help lower this burden a little. Details! When: Thursday, November 29 from 5pm-8pm What: For $10 at the door, you have a buffet of all you can eat pizza and wings. There will be a band and a cash bar! Where: Spiaks 2 Archibald St, Watervliet Those who coach teams: this is a restaurant so you can invite the little ones! Invite your high school and college teams. Invite everyone you know! Join the facebook event! The more the merrier! Please contact Skeeter for more information
