First match of the day was against Providence at 8:45am. It was the first true D1 club of the season the women had faced and they were eager to see how they fared against their counterparts.  The team played aggressively and dominated possession for much of the match. Game 3: Albany 5 - Beantown 12_____________________________________________
Last match of the day was at 2:30pm against Beantown- a club that doesn't play in D1 in the fall season but fills in the bracket at the NERFU Cup. Beantown is typically Albany's most challenging opponent but with several Beantown alum on Albany's side, the match is usually an occasion that brings out some of the strongest play from the club. Today's match would be no exception.  Beantown scored within the first five minutes of the match but after that the women doubled-down and played aggressively in every phase of play and forced many errors on Beantown's part. Even the penalties handed out to Albany were for go-forward, aggressive play. The subs did a fantastic job of keeping the intensity level high and the team shut-out Beantown in the second half while stringing together multiple offensive phases that stretched Beantown's defense. The women definitely played with heart and determination that inspired all on the sidelines. Match duration: 20 minutes per half; 1st half actual time played: 20 minutes
