The Albany Knicks field a competitive Division I Women's Rugby Team, also known as the Sirens.
The team is typically around 30 members strong, allowing us to field both an A side and B side.  The fall is our competitive league season that begins at the end of August and runs through October.  The Sirens play league games within the USA Rugby Competitive Region 3, including teams from NERFU and Empire RFU.  The New England Rugby Football Union and Empire RFU organize the games and send the top two teams to playoffs.  The winner of playoffs move on to the national games hosted by USA Rugby.  The spring season consists of indoor training, touch rugby, and outdoor practices- which begin when the winter weather lets up, usually in March.  The club fields a sevens side over the summer for those who love 7s!

History:
In 2010, we won the DII National Championship in Mesa, AZ and moved up to Division I in Fall 2011.
Why the Sirens?
The Sirens name was started by the founders of our club, and has since become a legacy.
