Cranford, NJ Albany 28- Union 36 The Knicks traveled south, down to Cranford, NJ, to face the Union Mudturtles RFC this past Saturday. It was also Dorian Simes last match with the club as he is heading overseas on his never-ending world tour and the boys may have been looking a little too forward to the night to be had in NYC. Albany went down to Union in the 1st game 36-28. Steve Arango and Jesse Boehme played solid but Scottie Bergen landed Man of the Matches honor for his strong play at flyhalf – covering for the injured David O’Neill. The men fell 31-22 in the B match with most players putting in a second match due to light travel numbers. Recent high school graduate and CDYR alum Justin Snide was named Man of the Match with even the home team noting his strong play. Albany will use the final week of the season to prepare for the NERFU Cup, to be held at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, RI on the weekend of May 11th & 12th.
